...student response to the question, "What would you tell
someone thinking about attending Camp T-Equity next summer?" (from the
1995 program evaluation)
Presenting Camp T-Equity 1996
A Four-Week Technology-Immersion Day Camp for Girls
After an incredibly successful 1995 program, Camp T-Equity returns to West
Springfield High School for summer 1996!
Our program speaks for itself. The highlighted quotations are excerpted
from anonymous student evaluations of the program and from student-created
home pages.

satellite and weather radar imagery
There will be numerous guest speakers (women role models who routinely use
technology in their professions).

Additional online resources
Lots more information is available online. You might want to look at:
- A detailed report on the 1995 program -
A formal evaluation of the 1995 program, this report contains lots of
information of interest to the prospective participant and her parents.
- Student home pages -
Camp T-Equity has a full-fledged Unix-based Internet server at its
disposal. Each participant in the 1995 program created a home page; many
of these home pages contain comments about the camp.
- Daily Activity Log -
Camp T-Equity participants used a digital camera to chronicle the events of
the camp. These images were immediately made available on the camp's
dedicated Web server so that parents and other interested parties
could follow the camp's progress.
- Guest book - Camp T-Equity
maintains a Web-based guest book so that visitors worldwide can comment on
the program. This has been a tremendous source of encouragement and
motivation for the girls; we've received comments from all over the world.
The girls have also received plenty of positive feedback by electronic
mail, including several enthusiastic offers of information from prestigious
college science and engineering programs.
