MIYA HUNTER

Portrait of the Confused

Background

My name is Miya Nicole Hunter and I am turning 15 years old. I attend West Springfield High School and I'm entering the 10th grade. As of now, I have two siblings, an older brother named Marcus and a baby sister named McKenzie . I also have a weimereiner , named Champaign.

Realization

Throughout my life, I have accelled in many different areas such as music, school, art, etc. Up until now I was pretty sure of what direction I wanted my life to go in such as going to college and getting a high paying job. Recently now that I'm in highschool, I've had to make many decisions that can make or break me in the end. More often I am faced with having to pick and choose what I want to pursue, enjoy, and what will benefit me the most. I've come to realize that life is full of tough decisions and making the best choices now are what will determine the difference in the long run.

Interests

My highschool career is at a stand still at this point. I haven't the faintest idea of what I want to do with my life let alone which classes I want to pursue in the following years. There are many things that I'm interested in though. I enjoy and many other odd and unusal pass times such as visiting the Deathnet and the Alfred Hitchock Web Page on the internet. All in all the love of my life right now are the arts (just about every aspect of it). School is the ultimate place for me at this time. It is a place where most of my interests are fulfilled, my talents nurished, and my intellect challenged. Some of the more unique people that I have met were at school.

Present

Although I haven't decided on one particular field of study just yet, I have taken a step to further my knowledge of computers. This summer for a few weeks I am attending Camp T-Equity . This camp is specially triggered towards girls who have thought of, aren't interested in, or aren't sure if Computer Science, Math, or any other Technology field is something that they are interested in. One person that pursued me to join this camp was my friend Jyl. She figured since we were too young to get a decent summer job and both of us would be in and out of town, this camp would be a good experience. The other person that extremely influenced my decision was my uncle Eliott. He is a computer nut who programs and de-bugs computers for a major computer company. His advice to me was to take as many computer and business classes that I possibly can. So I followed their advice. Hopefully this class will help influence my decisions for my future education.
