Mr. Hyman presents background information regarding his expedition to Panama while emphasizing familiar themes such as... ...be prepared to take advantage of life's opportunities, and explore new things--even at the risk of failing!
In preparation for an essay-writing assignment entitled, "What Exploration Means to Me," students used a specially-prepared note guide... ...to record key points during Mr. Hyman's presentation.
At the end of the formal presentation, Mr. Hyman summarized several key points regarding exploration (to focus students' thinking re: essay)... ...before answering questions informally.
