Windows on Science (WOS), Earth Science, Volume II
Correlations with Grade Level 4 & 5 Astronomy Units

The FCPS Planetaria Teachers reviewed the videodisc, Windows on Science, Earth Science, Volume II for information related to the elementary school program of instruction in astronomy (Grade Level 4 - The Sun & Its Neighbors; Grade Level 5 - Stars & Constellations). To support classroom teachers' efforts to deliver school-based astronomy instruction which tightly integrates with the planetarium teacher's site visit and the field trip to the planetarium, we recommend the use of the following WOS videodisc segments with the Grade Level 4 astronomy unit. For a variety of reasons, we do not recommend use of the WOS material related to the Grade Level 5 astronomy unit.
