Title: Manually Constructing a Two-Line Graph (Two Data Sets) Using Logger 
Pro


1. Double-click on Logger Pro icon (desktop)

2. Close "Tip of the Day" window

3. In the "Connect to LabPro" window, click radio button for "Continue 
Without Interface"; click [OK]

4. From the menubar, select Data/New Data Set. By default, the data sets 
are named: Data Set; Data Set 2. Both data sets have a column for X & Y 
values. Retitle the data sets and X & Y values by double-clicking on the 
labels:

Data Set/Data Set Options/Name: "KNO3"; Comments: "Potassium nitrate" [OK]

X/Column Options/Column Definition (tab)/Labels and Units/Name: 
"Temperature"/Short Name: "Temp"/Insert Symbol: degrees/type: "C"

Y/"Mass"/g

Data Set 2/Data Set Options/Name: "NaCl"; Comments: "Sodium chloride" [OK]

X/Column Options/Column Definition (tab)/Labels and Units/Name: 
"Temperature"/Short Name: "Temp"/Insert Symbol: degrees/type: "C"

Y/"Mass"/g

5. Show graph lines for both data sets; add graph title:

Option 1: Double-click on label for Y-axis on graph; "Y Axis Options" 
window pops-up. Select "More..."; check Y-axis value (Mass) for both 
"Y-Axis Traces"; [OK]

Option 2:
Double-click inside graph window; "Graph Options" window pops-up.
A) Click tab for "Graph Options" ...
Title: Solubility and Temperature
Examine: Check "Mouse Position and Delta" and "Legend"
Appearance: Check "Point Protectors" and "Connect Lines"
B) Click tab for "Axes Options" ...
Check Y-axis value (Mass) for both "Y-Axis Traces"; [Done]

6. (menubar)Analyze/Legend; click & drag to lower-right corner of graph

7. Click "Autoscale" button in buttonbar (below menubar)

8. File/Printing Options.../"Printing Options" window pops-up. Check box 
for "Print Footer"; Name: (first- and last names, separated by commas); 
Comments: (Period 1, 2, or 3); check box for "Date"; uncheck boxes for 
"Page Title" and "Page Number"; [OK].

9. File/Print Graph.../"Printing Options" window pops-up (double-check 
Step 8); click [OK]/"Print" window pops-up; select appropriate number of 
copies.
